Today, we're launching a new version of Granola, built from the ground up for Apple Watch.
It's built for meetings away from your laptop: like brainstorming at a whiteboard, walking 1:1s or candid advice over coffee.
Start with a tap
Tap your wrist to start taking notes. The screen turns bright Granola green and plays a sound, so you know it's working.
Then you're free to focus on the person in front of you. Tap again when you're done, and your notes are available on your phone and computer in moments.
Before a scheduled meeting, a subtle tap reminds you to start. For ad-hoc chats, you can add Granola as a complication on your watch face, so a new note is always one tap away.
The best wearable is one you already have
Instead of creating a new device for you to remember to take with you, we think the best wearable is one you're likely to have already.
We've been testing it internally for a little while. What surprised us is how natural it feels: many of us now leave our laptops closed – even in meeting rooms – while Granola takes notes in the background.
Your notes, wherever you work
Notes started on Apple Watch sync automatically to Granola on your iPhone and Mac or Windows computer, ready for you to review, edit or keep working.
Through Granola MCP, they can also become context in the AI tools you connect.
A limited edition strap, made by hand
To mark today's launch, we worked with London-based weaver Nowshin Prenon to make a limited-edition Apple Watch strap by hand.
We only made a handful. Each one is woven from a custom silk-and-cotton blend, designed to be comfortable all day. We liked the idea of pairing the Watch app with something tactile and carefully made. It's a small reminder to stay present and follow the thread of the conversation.
