This site provides e-learning courseware and training materials (slides, lecture notes, problem sets, Python notebooks…) on risk engineering, loss prevention and safety management. The course material is targeted at a Master’s level, for students with a technical background in an engineering or scientific discipline. It will also be useful to safety professionals interested in developing their understanding and skills in specific areas.

Risk engineering is the application of engineering skills and methodologies to the management of risk. It involves hazard identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and risk treatment. Application domains concerned by the concepts covered include health and safety in the oil and gas sector (onshore and offshore), nuclear energy, chemicals manufacturing, aviation, railways, civil engineering and critical infrastructure management.
