Lukko, an NHS doctor, developed Lungy, an iOS app that provides real-time feedback to breathing exercises through interactive visuals, aiming to make them more engaging for anxiety relief and sleep. A major update includes a complete redesign, a real-time 3D soft body solver for dynamic visuals, and a Vision Pro version called 'Lungy Spaces'. Inspired by the need for engaging breathing exercises for post-ventilator COVID patients, Lungy allows customizable breath timings, new breathing indicators, and learning modules for anxiety. The visuals, built using Metal and SpriteKit, respond to breath and touch, while the audio uses AudioKit. Breath detection utilizes microphone input, with optional camera assistance. A medical device version, designed as a pulmonary rehab platform for asthma patients, is planned for UK trials in 2026. The app offers a free version with daily exercises and a premium version unlocking the full library. Lifetime access is available to bypass the monthly subscription fee. An Android version is being considered. The developer is seeking feedback on the app.
