After building some things recently using LLMs and agent workflows, I was noticing more ‘Show HN’ posts. Assuming there had been a rise in folks building things, but wanting to rule out confirmation bias, I looked at the numbers.
Looking at https://hn.algolia.com/api, we can see that for Jan (yet to complete), we’re already +125% more Show HN posts compared to Jan 2025. Show HN posts have gone from 3.5% → 15% of total submissions.

Folk seem to be building things and showing them off at a crazy rate, and I’m here for it.
